Captured this image of my Great-niece, Vera or Ms V, on a family outing to a local pumpkin patch this fall.  She was so darling that I had to paint her.  I chose to do the painting in watercolor on 8 x 10, 140 lb paper as a challenge to myself.

  

 

Commission Portraits Welcomed!

I do commission portraits in Watercolor, Oil or Graphite. In general, I base my commission painting prices on a price per square inch basis that factors in materials and an hourly rate.  Pricing for portraits can vary by medium, number of subjects and level of difficulty based on the clients design requirements within  the design.

 

As an example, "Little Pumpkin" is a watercolor portrait of a single child in a straight forward farm setting. There is well over 40 hours work in this project plus materials. A pricing range for a similar single child portrait would be $500 but could vary depending on the final design and medium selected. Pricing does not include photography session (as needed), sales tax, shipping, framing, mounting or other special requests.
