Marine Landscape
Oil on canvas Panel
Framed as shown
I love the Pacific Northwest because there are so many hidden jewels to paint. The marina in Gig Harbor, WA is a perfect example of that, even at low tide. The bright green seaweed covered shore contrasting with the beautiful blue water and sky. Not to mention the contrast between the crisp white marina versus the old building and rocky shore. Then throw in the old orange boat bumpers hung on an old marina building railing and it made the vista more than I could resist.
This piece is framed in a wood plein air frame. It was painted in my studio from on-sight sketches which I did during an Urban Sketchers event.
